这些古装偶人和偶人用品出自丸平大木人形店的五世大木平藏（1886～1941）之手，据说是三菱第四代社长——岩﨑小弥太（1879～1945）为孝子夫人定制的。有着讨人喜欢的圆圆脸蛋的古装偶人将恭迎大家的到来。

在陶艺技术登峰造极的中国陶瓷史上，宋代陶瓷器和清代官窑瓷器可谓是两大巅峰。在本次展览中，将以岩﨑弥之助于明治时期收集的清代官窑为首，并精选其嗣子——小弥太收集的宋瓷等进行介绍。

——十殿阎王齐聚一堂——

在佛教美术中充满了压倒性能量的中国元朝的《十王图·二使者图》《地藏菩萨十王图》都将于这个夏天在静嘉堂＠丸之内会于一堂。要不要同时通过已于近年完成修复的佛教绘画和《十二神兽图卷》等试着去不可思议的地府探一探险呢？

武士的时尚
——印笼（药盒）、刀剑配件、风俗画——

孕育自武士文化的武士装饰品——刀剑配件及印笼（药盒）坠子，作为近代美术工艺品，在海外也享有盛誉。维多利亚女王赐予后藤象二郎（岩﨑弥之助岳父）的佩剑（1863年英国制造）也将首次公开。

明治时代，“美术”发出了新生的啼哭声。明治美术曾在当时轰动社会，到了现代依然丹青不渝，请欣赏它们的魅力，包括首次被指定为重要文化财产的近代美术——桥本雅邦的《龙虎图屏风》、曾掀起过争论的黑田清辉的《裸体妇人像》等。
