畫師・河鍋曉斎及為北海道命名的探險家，同時也是古董愛好者及作家的松浦武四郎都多才多藝，也都活躍在幕府末期明治年間。此次同時展出「武四郎涅槃圖」及畫中描繪的武四郎古物（文化財產）收藏品，參觀者能遙想二位對古物的熱忱。
